Those who called for his firing after the 9-game losing streak are being proven right. Mid-season firings aren't as widespread in hoops as in football, but this end-of-season streak just makes it harder to fire him in the end. OU has to decide if it wants to be good in basketball. Otherwise...

Three wins and we're in. South Carolina, A&M, and Arkansas. We play the late session as long as we keep going in the first three rounds. Not easy, but doable. We're as likely to lose again to the Gamecocks as we are to win all three. But you say there's a chance?!?

Also: we have a better record in the SEC this year at 7-11. However, the league is much worse.

We beat Texas on the road for the second year in a row. Porter is 2-8 against Texas. Great win in spite of everything.

Same here. I'd love to see Porter gone, but I'm not going to root for OU to lose, especially to Texas. I was at the last home football game in 1998 when we played Tech. I even rooted for OU to win that day, though I wanted Blake to be gone.

And the teams/conferences that play in Dayton get paid for winning that game just as if they won a game in the round of 64. Therefore, some of the smaller conferences like getting sent there. They have a much better chance of earning NCAA tournament units by winning a 16 vs 16 game in Dayton...

We've clinched a non-losing season, so there's that. We're 16-14. A loss to Texas and in the first round of the SEC tournament makes us 16-16. I'd rather win as much as possible, though.

Billy Gillispie has had to step away from Tarleton at least twice in the last three years due to "health issues". Perhaps they have to do with drinking. I don't know. I've never heard any specifics.
