Is Barnes a super star? No. But you CAN’T judge any of the rbs performances with how bad the oline was

The oline was really really bad on the run. Cant judge the rbs for that.

100%. Vanilla playbook or not, they should get push on an FCS team. Barnes is not a world beaterbut you cannot judge a running back with how the oline was blocking. BB is the problem

Not OU football but I watched some of the Auburn Baylor game last night. Jackson Arnold got a raw deal at OU but he’s still a bust. He was a five start recruit that has essentially tuned into a game manager/ running back at the QB spot.

I agree 100%. Dudes that are 80-100% play the first game to atleast knock the rust off. Not saying they play a bunch. I do think we’ll have a few mystery injuries that linger on until late in the season. Gibson will definitely be one of them. Maybe Ott too. Just praying it’s not like last year.

According to Gabe and Teddy, Nagy also said Barnes is the best college blocking back he’s ever seen. I think that has a huge weight when choosing a starting running back.

The RB room is very concerning. I don’t mind Barnes getting the 1, but the room is one twisted ankle from being a disaster. Also, RB has to pass block too. And Barnes is very good at that. So I think that has something to do with him getting the start.

Sounds like an NAIA school lol. The schedule is slightly better this year but far from great.

Not surprised. Maybe Holst is the RS that succeeds!
