I live out of state, but attended games regularly while I lived in Oklahoma City.
I love OU basketball and would pay to watch them play just about anyone, but I understand that doesn’t work for the masses.
My point is that it doesn’t matter who we schedule at home in the non-conference, a...
7700 is tickets sold, as you said. Decrease that by about 2000 and you have the real attendance figure, probably.
Not good at all, and that was for an unbeaten team ranked No. 21 with wins over Arizona and Louisville.
Coaches, not just Moser, like to play the neutral court games. I assume because it’s similar to an NCAA tournament atmosphere.
We have 9-10 built-in opportunities for quality road wins via the SEC. There’s really not a big need to schedule more in the non-conference, imo.
Maybe one each...
This wreaks of complaining just to complain.
We made the tournament — with plenty of quality wins — last season.
Now that we are spending some real NIL $$$, I wouldn’t mind seeing a couple more challenging non-con games, but the schedule to this point has made perfect sense, all things...
I think the scheduling reflects that OU has played in the best conference in college basketball for the entirety of his tenure.
We beat Arizona, Louisville and Michigan last season. What more do people want out of the pre-conference slate?
You have to play a handful of good non-con games, but...
I want us to be the higher seeded team in our first round NCAA game.
Anything short of that — barring injuries — would be underwhelming with this roster.
We also should be MUCH better in close games, which should help us achieve the above goal.
If he’s in the rotation (unlikely) it might be an issue.
But if he’s in a Fredson-Cole role and he goes to a baseball game instead of suiting up to ride pine, would we even know the difference?
For home games, all he’d have to do is walk across the street, assuming there was some stagger in...
If we are done with the portal — wow — what an excellent haul.
My only (small) critiques would be that a) we are relying on some guys returning from serious injuries and b) we seem a little thin on guard depth.
I like the idea of adding a guard this summer. Should be cheap to do at that time.
Declaring for what? You and Davis have nearly an equal chance of being drafted this year.
I’m pumped about Davis, but he’s so far away from being an NBA caliber player.
