No way on 1st rounder.. but our name/rep generates Heismans. He'll have to get more accurate rapidly. But it 100% could happen, especially if he racks up rushing yards
You can't fix everyone (see: roy finch). But if we spent a lot on him, the staff deserves to get reamed for it. Do your due diligence. We could have spent that on a playmaking WR or another OL (but we also will inevitably see misses no matter what)..
You're going to see more and more players...
Just so were clear, ou's goals arent always the same as a player's goals. Hawkins RS means significantly less than any positive he can possibly contribute to OU. You don't have to be a dick to Hawkins, but BV should not be worrying about that at all, if its in any way necessary and beneficial to...
I did not remember that being the case. Hard to keep track of all of the changing rules. (I still haven't learned the nfl kickoff rules yet)
I would not be surprised if temple gives us a good game. We should use 1 of his 4 in a "tune-up" game, then hedge the rest of the year in case of injury
Sawchuck and Eric gray were 6.0+ YPC.. Kennedy Brooks (our last really good RB imo - criminally underrated) was 8.9, 6.5, & 6.3. For a career avg of 7.0
He has a rocket for an arm. Almost too much. He can get the ball out of hands so fast and effortlessly too. Just needs to work on touch. I dont like running him so much, we need a RB to establish themself. I hate a 2 QB system, but I wonder about a Hawkins package (throws up in mouth)..
He throws too hard and doesnt have the touch that our heisman QBs had. Hes somewhere between Hurt and Rattler. I like his toughness and hes the sort of guy college football is built off of but hes not close to baker but thats all you're going to hear all year ha
Throughout pros and esp college, you're seeing, and going to see even more, players being soft and looking out for only themselves at all costs. Last year's team was big on that. Lot of toxic losers and quitters last year.
Warms my heart to see nic anderson on the bench at lsu too. And esp...
"Were gonna get out there and not pound and destroy Illinois state! We want to finesse them all game. Don't fire off the ball, ease it baby ease it. Then, next week will turn it up a notch."
THIS. Nice rushing, sure. But Haynes King does better at GT and he was a nobody and basically a bust at A&M and has randomly reinvented himself at GT.
Arnold is not a guy you pay more than 300-400k for even as a starting QB. Terrible value play
