I actually agree with most of your sentiment here. A&M has next level money and had a ton of talent on that roster that made the transition easier for Elko. Credit to Elko for turning that into wins. Florida will be a good stalking horse because I feel they have similar money pool as Oklahoma...
Hard to fault them on taking Ott. I know that's a very different opinion most have due to his horrid play. He was well renown across the industry for a reason. They spent some cash on him but compared to the market it wasn't that terrible. Plus how many offensive skill difference makers are...
My current temp is that they will continue to recruit Montonati but not overpay for him. Tough optics on not recruiting the number one player in the state.
- I will never understand the random neutral court games everyone schedules (Outside of MTEs). Schedule a home and home and your team has a chance to get a road win 1/2 years for SOS.
- What a disgusting home slate. Devils advocate tells me that even when we have had good noncon home games...
Mentioned it before, but I have good sources saying Joe C did not force or even encourage the Littrell/Finley duo for OC. On the other hand, he did have a strong influence on choosing Arbuckle. So criticism is fair game there if it goes poorly.
I know they feel pretty confident about him making it to campus. I still don’t think it happens if he goes in the top 10 rounds as y’all discussed. Best outcome? MLB teams don’t draft him until late because of the threat of not signing him.
