I know it's early. Joe Lunardi has us out of the NCAA tournament with 11 SEC teams in...we were like a 6 or 7 seed last preseason check. Not sure what changed..

Is some of that dependent on the fact that we have so many rotation players who didn't play last year (Jones, Nwankwo, Kai Rogers, Atak, etc.).

If that was directed at me, take that somewhere else. I've been here as long as this board has been up and have not ever been a negative nancy or a naysayer. I think early season development is critical for young guys -- more important thana scrimmage win -- and stated my opinion.

I'm glad it was good on good, but it seems odd not to get more run for guys like Nwankwo and Rogers who you will clearly depend on at times throughout the year. We'll see if Atak is ready, but my guess is he'll end up being 10th guy after Jones is back.

Interesting -- because you think he's unhappy, won't get PT, will blow up and have $ opportunities?

After a really rough start, Fears has looked solid in Summer League for an 18 year old playing against grown professional players. He's started to relax into his role running the show. He went 9-33 for 29 total points in his first two games and then seemed to turn the corner: 14 points / 1 reb...

Wait -- so Dayton is now better than a guy who was previously All Big 12 player, Big 12 Most Improved, 40% three point shooter over 5 seasons, 2 to 1 career assist to turnover ratio, and 2022 Midwest Region Most Outstanding Player? I LOVE Dayton and think he can have a Payton Pritchard type...

Perfect comparison. He wanted to be a 3 but was really a frontcourt player because he lacked the ball-handling, passing, and outside shooting consistency while he was a difference maker and match-up nightmare in the paint against smaller 3/4s and bigger/slower 4/5s.

He looks like he was positioning himself for a potential two-way spot before that happened. Horrible.

Best comparison is on the bench already: Ryan Humphrey.

Doolittle was the better overall player. He could handle, get his own shot, great rebounder, and defender the 3-5. He had some weaknesses but overall a more impactful player than Moore. Not as good an NBA prospect...

Btw -- Jalon Moore with a 39" max vert and one of the fastest 3/4 court sprint times ... but slow agility drills and mediocre shooting. He'll make the G League. Will be interesting to see if he can defend or handle well enough to make a roster.
