We held them to 20 points in the second half. The first half is when the defense struggled. I agree we looked lethargic, which wasn't good to see.

On the other hand, we just beat (albeit in exhibitions) two other ranked opponents. I'm not counting on a win, but I'm (perhaps naively) thinking it'll be a competitive game.

Three of those players played no role in our three outings so far, so it's not as though we'll miss them in any legitimate sense. I do wish Rogers was available, though.

I think assessing anyone at this point in the season might fairly be termed premature. His performance in Monday's game is fair game, but his potential contributions on the season? We've seen many other players not light it up from the jump who later were solid contributors.

For what it's worth, the Zags are ranked 21st in the AP poll--three spots ahead of Wisconsin and 11 behind Texas Tech.

I got to see the second half last night and was very pleased with the team's play. I don't think I'll be going back to watch the first half--I suspect I'm better off missing it. In the end, it was a solid start to the season.
