Interesting. I just assumed it was part of Same one. You now have a Tif district inside a tif district. Was doing sone research and same location was proposed for the Warren and Costco at one time. Others in Norman as well. Both eventually went to Moore.
My understanding is adding to original tif already created. I think that was how they got around going to vote of the people in first place. I definitely could be wrong though.
The tif district is all that corridor including target, crest, hotels, the main event, doctors offices…. This is not creating a new district just for the stadium project. Technically there was already a plan for that section with condos and more shopping areas, they just updated it to...
I am not against it, but see effects of TIF districts across state because of my job. They can do alot of good, but not full proof. I live in Norman and utilize the property several times a week.
Depends how you look at it. It pulls money that city( sales tax) or property( county and school) has available to cover there debt and bond issues. For property tax, if something happened, housing bust or legal settlement, causes school to not be able to cover the debt, then mileage rates...
It’s gone to ok Supreme Court twice already and they ruled or declined to hear it in favor of building the arena. Not sure what other arguments they have at this point. Maybe it should have gone to the people, but that’s not how city was set up. The people of norman voted against funding...
I am in favor of a new coach. But something else to consider is you may have to pay the buyout to get a coach from another school. Again, most likely going to have to ask for donations.
I thought the nil was now running through the schools such that Nagy does for football. Maybe...
So that number is operational and does not include athlete revenue sharing or nil. Question I have, is porter salary is overall around 7.65 million a year, Is that all paid by basketball budget? If so over 50% of operations budget goes to the coach? Does seem someone is overpaid or...
Didn’t renew for 25-26, but still ended up going to 5 games. Probably will get season tickets again. Much as product has not been great, still had fun at live games.
I agree they don’t watch every game. I would consider the eye test to include that a team let’s say won 8 of last 10 in a major conference, It would probably have some effect. Not the complete emphasis, but some consideration.
Come on. There’s always an eye test and always bias. If not then no team they look at would have names, only looking at stats. That is not the case. If Duke and ou were both bubble teams, with similar records. Duke is getting in over OU the majority of time. They can say no eye test...
