Under the current rules, I don't think he should be. But I don't think the current rules are really fair either.

If I read it right, Owen is essentially knows the rule and that he has used his allotted 4 years but is urging the ncaa to use their allowed discretion for unique situations. I just don't think it will fly

Well how is the term defined? It used to be teams from certain conferences. It didn’t really change year to year based on how good a team was With all the conference realignment I have no idea what conferences are mid majors anymore.
