I know that...I meant the opening round bubble which four of the six 11-seeds have to play each other. At least by Lunardi's projection, we haven't completely cleared that hurdle yet.
I just checked Lunardi's midnight update. We are now in the last-four byes along with Vandy, San Diego State and WVU. Beat Kentucky and we're off THAT bubble. I don't want to get greedy, but would prefer our opening round game be Thursday or Friday next week.
While I agree, I also know that the last four times we were in the 10-7 game (twice under Kelvin and twice under Lon), we LOST. We won our only two 8-9 games, though both were in recent memory. The only 10-7 game we won was in 1983 against UAB.
I can FINALLY enjoy Selection Sunday without having to be on the edge of my seat. In trying to be realistic, we can't expect Wague to lead the team in rebounds, assists and be third in scoring tomorrow. Someone else will need to step up to help out our two best players.
Okay, everyone raise your hand if you predicted Wague and Northweather would combine for 67% (6-9) of the assists in the first half. Yeah, we all saw that coming :-).
I just looked at the latest Bracketology on ESPN. I thought we would have gotten a little more of a bump from a road win last night, but apparently not. At the moment, we're in the "Last 4 In" group, but in the third spot. Xavier is in the 4th spot and considered the "last team in". I don't...
If you think that's bad, try being around posters who are never around when OU wins, but can't stop posting when we lose. I know you are not one of them, but they are a thousand times more annoying.
After what happened last year, we all know nothing is certain unless we win AT LEAST one game in the conference tournament. I even started a thread last year asking for predictions on what seed we would be. I'm not doing that this year unless we win TWO tournament games.
Great win!...obviously much more suspenseful at the end than necessary, but we're all used to that :-).
The SEC Network studio guys just gave a well-deserved lecture to the Sooner fans to support their damn team...saying the team has been playing hard and deserve the support. What that tells...
