    Football question

I didn't see the game. I knew going in that we would use about 10% of the playbook, but one thing frightened me when looking at the stats from the RBs not named "Blaylock". Were they that bad or was the offensive line looking like what we saw all of last year?

    Football question

I'll admit to turning a blind eye to that one. And as Sooner04 noted, the Navy game showed some terrible coaching decisions. I'll add the LSU game prior showed some terrible preparation. I'm not as pessimistic about this season as Wichita, but not as optimistic as WTSooner. I don't want BV...

    Football question

I'm honestly not sure whether Brent is a good in-game coach or not. The injury bug, especially at WR last year, was so severe that I don't know how even the best head coach in America would have squeezed out more than 1-2 victories than what we got. That said, there are some obvious red flags...

NBA- OU players and general (this thread only)

I'm a lifelong Lakers fan and agree completely. The Lakers were already weak in the post BEFORE trading the second or third best center in the NBA. The issue with Williams (without using hindsight) is that he literally has played in less than half of his games throughout his career to this...

    2025-26 schedule information

I deleted a post that was a bit too personal. I know it's offseason, but please keep things on point.

NBA- OU players and general (this thread only)

C'mon, BCS. One is a 9-time All-Star and 1st ballot Hall-of-Famer who has been on the All-NBA 1st, 2nd and 3rd team more times than not in his career. The other is a great defensive player, but only a 2-time All-Star. I'm not about to compare a 9-time All-Star to a 2-time All-Star in any...

NBA- OU players and general (this thread only)

In all fairness, Portland could never get over the hump because they never had enough talent in the post. They had a great backcourt with Dame and CJ, plus a very good coaching staff led by a Sooner legend :-). Dame was clearly a better overall player than Holiday, but I would agree the latter...

NBA- OU players and general (this thread only)

J Fears had his best statistical game in the Summer League last night with 22 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 turnovers. I believe it was his first game with more assists than turnovers. His 3-point shooting remains abysmal, but overall, seems to be getting better every game. Keep it...

    Joe C

I do not foresee a scenario where Joe C makes a decision on BV. We've had this play out in the past. I still laugh when people say that Donnie Duncan hired John Blake. Duncan had as much to do with Blake's hiring as I did. Duncan still had the title of AD, but Steve Owens was calling the...

Fears & the NBA Draft Projections

I I was at that game and thought there were three - Fears, Wolf, and the Michigan center. I was obviously wrong about the last one. There wasn't anyone else on that court that was an NBA-caliber player. Jalon Moore was the 4th best player in that game.

Fears & the NBA Draft Projections

That move has resulted in New Orleans being selected as the Draft's "biggest loser". My guess as to their management's thinking is that even if the Pelicans aren't that good next season, they should at least be competitive. That would put the pick somewhere in the 10-14 range UNLESS they win...

This is only a great trade for Atlanta IF Porzingis can stay on the court...throughout his career, has he even played in 50% of the games? That has seemingly been the Hawks problem for quite some time. If they can keep their guys on the court, this coming year should have their best team in...

Fears & the NBA Draft Projections

I read that as well (directly below)...$10-15 million difference...that's a lot of money for a rookie to leave on the table. Fears #5 in this latest Mock. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/45559441/2025-nba-mock-draft-latest-first-second-round-predictions-all-59-picks

NBA- OU players and general (this thread only)

To this day, it's the toughest sports loss I've ever had to digest. As an LA Lakers fan, Dallas Cowboys fan, LA Dodgers fan, and of course, OU football fan - I've lost count the number of big losses through the years, but nothing really comes close to that 1988 title game. The OU football...

Congrats to those who follow the OKC Thunder. Great drafting was the catalyst which earned them this title. If they stay hungry, they won't be one-and-done with title rings. If you think 1988 haunts someone who wasn't born, imagine what it does to people like me who remember every waking...
