i really hope fans attend tonight. it's critical that our fans start supporting this team more, nobody wants to play in front of a mostly empty arena, so it could hurt our recruiting and retaining the talented players we already have.

for example, Arkansas wbb had over 12k at their fieldtrip game today and they aren't even close to being ranked, i don't recall the last time our ladies had that many attending a game

I predict this one will be relatively close, but with Beers on our team this year, I believe we will win.

We defeated Virginia last year 82-67 without Beers or Liz Scott. I'm not sure how close it will be. Hopefully, the fact that it's not a 5:00 or 6:00 tipoff will help attendance.

Virginia played better at the end of the season last year…and beat Louisville and Virginia Tech in February. They have some good talent…it is a game we should win but if we have an off night they have enough talent to beat us.

95-51 total domination by OU….and had we shot 3s just average we would have beaten them by 60. I knew Beers would be really good and fill our biggest need in the post but she is 1st team All American good…she had 26 points and 14 boards in only 22 minutes. She hit 1 of our 3s and also made a 15 foot jumper….besides the array of post moves down low. She is also a dominant defensive presence in the middle…I can’t say enough good things about her play.

But it wasn’t just the Raegan Beers show…in typical Jennie style we shared the ball well and put up 24 assists. We dominated the boards 66-39..Beers, Skylar and KJ lead us there. We forced 21 turnovers and held ours to 14. Points wise Sahara had 14, Verhulst 13, Reyna 10 and KJ and Liz Scott each had 8.

All around an impressive game from start to finish.

Absolutely! Beers was nothing short of perfect. And to top make it more eye opening is the fact she did it over two tall post players. 6’7 and 6’5 . Her post movements is impressive as well. Her getting rebounds on the defensive end with Post players bigger then her was WOWING me the WHOLE game.
When Jennie said Sahara has improved her game she truly meant that. Sahara just looks so smooth and a true veteran out there, and is only a Sophomore.
The WHOLE team was impressive except us shooting the 3’s but that doesn’t even matter when you are playing damn good defense AND Scoring almost 100 points.
This team is ONLY going to continue to get better the more practices and games they play together. Its so freaking exciting as a OU WBB fan.
And seeing Jennie Smile throughout the game just made me feel like a proud parent watching your kid coach.

I have found the best way to find it is go to soonersports.tv and then filter by women’s basketball. It is not up yet…there is a chance that with the OU media in Columbia for football that there wasn’t a post game press conference. I would like to see it also and will post it in this thread if I find it.

It was disappointing…about 3,000 actual attendance. 4,000 tickets sold.

I was at the game and I was very disappointed… Very. I expected more fans to show up lastnight but they didn’t. Maybe when Conference starts fans will start showing up.

I hope JB does not get frustrated by how little fans attend the games because I would hate for her to leave to go somewhere where there's more support. And take great recruits with her. Just doesn't seem fair even our horrible men's basketball team gets more fans and I don't even want to touch on our crappy football team. Maybe come conference season when we play more ranked opponents things will get better, I at least hope so. Recruits pay attention to that stuff too so it could hurt our recruiting as well..

All the decent non conference games are on the road, Louisville, michigan, and 3 in Las Vegas. The 5 non conference games at LNC are not conducive to having good attendance.

Friday night in November is the worst time to have a home game. There are high school football playoff games and high school basketball games.
