The Sooner Caravan is coming to Albuquerque on Wednesday, May 19, 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Tanoan Country Club, 10801 Academy Road NE.

Tickets are still only $30 each and must be purchased in advance. The evening will include a buffet dinner, presentations from varsity coaches, a silent auction, scholarship award winners and much more. Last year's coaching guests from OU included Cale Gundy (football), Ben Betts (men's basketball) and Chad Thrailkill (women's basketball).

Proceeds will go to the OU Club's scholarship fund. All checks must be received by May 10 to reserve a seat. Make checks payable to the OU Club of New Mexico and send to the address below.

NM,
How many people do you anticipate will be there for the Sooner Caravan?

Great cause. I hope there is a good turnout for the event.

We've averaged about 85-90 both years it's been here before. It's not quite like the big one in OKC (which I've been to, twice), but we like it.

Maybe you will actually get to hear something from an OU basketball coach since Capel isn't talking.

NM, thanks, I asked because I live in Amarillo, we used to get the caravan in Amarillo but it does not come here any longer. I'm surprised by that because the times it was here, I attended and there was always a good crowd. The last time it was in Amarillo was after Stoops first year at OU (I think that was the last time) and I would guess there were at least 250 or so. Glad you all get that oportunity, I just wish it would come back to Amarillo. Enjoy yourself and have a great evening.
