Im guessing a slim chance but several saying OU isnt recruiting him.
Some are saying OU isn't recruiting Porter? Where are you getting information like that?
He may not sign with OU, but I can't even imagine why our coaches wouldn't jump at the chance to sign him if they can, even if it's to improve the odds of signing Trae Young. Porter would be a great get in his own right. I get giddy just thinking about Porter and Young coming to OU as a package deal! [somebody catch me, I'm feeling dizzy]
Ive just read stuff. Porter would be a great get, he is #3 overall in the 2017 class!
It's not difficult for me to believe that OU may not be at the top of Porter's list, at least not yet. But, if Young is talking to him about going to OU, which he obviously is judging by Porter's Blog, I'm not buying the idea that our coaches are not using that as a grand opportunity to sign both players.
We are not at the top but we are in the conversation.
The only problem I see with Porter is that he plays the same position that Buford, Freeman, and Doolittle all play (or will likely play). Things could get a little log-jammed at the stretch 4 position, and cut off depth at some of our other positions. Especially if he is a one and done type.
Not saying OU isn't recruiting him, or shouldn't, but ESPN doesn't show him having an offer from OU, and they are normally fairly accurate on such items.
I’ve been staying in touch with Oklahoma a lot more now that Trae (Young) has been talking to me more about them. They’re recruiting him too and, of course, I’ve told y’all before that we want to play together in college.

Oklahoma offered me a long time ago, but since we’ve been talking more they’re a school I’m considering more. It definitely doesn’t hurt that they’re having a big year. I like Coach Kruger, he’s a player’s coach and I really like their style of play. Their big men rebound, block shots and outlet it to the guards who do more of the scoring. It’s fast paced and fun.
Other than Oklahoma, I’ve been in touch with Kansas, Missouri and Washington a lot recently, but the other schools are definitely still in the mix too.
