2018 Recruiting Class

And according to assistant coach Daniel Davis, @KhavonMoore has broken his fibula and tibia, this surgery this morning is to put a rod into Moore’s leg

Id assume OU honors and doesn't balk at taking Moore. Too soon to know. Announcement was planned for next Friday at his Senior Night game.

Is this an injury that could have him out of action for a year or more, or would he likely be ready to go (if a bit rusty) come the fall?

No idea if its a clean break or shatter... I read that a rod was placed so id assume clean break. I think ready to go by summer, maybe late summer.

I think HIPPA prevents a lot of information from being released on the status of a patient. That's from my RN wife....

I know on the OU football team this season, Matt Romar wasn't medically cleared to play in games after about the 3rd game. Everyone assumed he had suffered a concussion but OU couldn't say why he wasn't cleared. After the season, he disclosed he had broken his back.

Usedtobe1, you are 100% correct about HIPPA federal privacy laws. Health care providers and coaches alike can get in a lot of trouble by releasing information about a patient/player’s condition without written permission. Most simply don’t do it under any circumstances.

I am hoping the two recruits will improve our D.
I am disappointed in J Shepard's D He looks very timid

On a sidenote I love when Coach K talks sideways that the system is broken while Duke is sitting back taking advantage of it through Nike ($$$$) and signing the 4 of the top 8 kids for 2018 including the top 3 players after getting Zion Williamson today. It's crap like Kentucky did and now they're doing that is ruining this sport and that guy has the audacity to talk like he's above it all and not a huge part of the problem.

Coach K is ruining the sport by signing one-and-done players?

I guess OU shouldn't have signed Trae?

It's my opinion that college basketball is more exciting and entertaining than it's ever been. There is more parity than ever so I don't get your comment that the sport is being ruined by anything.

But mostly it's nobody's business

No idea how Oklahoma signing a single top rated local kid is the same as a magnet shoe school basically monopolizing top 10 recruits as 1 and done players who may or may not be funded with dirty shoe money (if you choose not to believe what is going on). But if you're all for it more power to you, personally I dislike the product more and more every year.

Kids do sometimes choose their schools based on which shoe company is paying the coach. It's silly, and you can condescend to me if that makes you feel better, but I don't see that as ruining the game. I don't even understand how anyone could make that argument as good as college basketball is right now.

But if you don't enjoy it, there's a simple fix. I quit watching the NFL years ago and haven't missed it one bit.

Saw this morning on ESPN that Jeff Borzello is predicting that Jahvon Quinerly (5 star PG) is going to go to OU. Just a prediction and gave it a 35% chance. This is really the first I am hearing about this on the national level (I know CoachTalk mentioned it last week) is there any more information about him and OU?

I saw a crystal ball for OU recently too. Looks like nova is our main competition. Seems highly unlikely to me still.
