Stat that stands out to me in the North Bama game is so far, Chavez with 0 ZERO turnovers. If OU can consistently hold down the TOs in games
it will be a huge improvement in their overall game from last year.

You can tell they are starting to gel. Turnovers are down and free throws are up!

The kids went crazy when the score hit 67.

I think our ceiling is higher this year but our floor is also lower. We will see how we improve throughout the season.

I thought we played pretty well in the first half and pretty poorly in the 2nd half. It was the 3rd game in 5 days…so Jennie played the backups a lot in the 2nd half and the offense in particular suffered.

We did get to see the 40 foot buzzer beater by Chavez at the end of Q2.

 

[One More Rebound]

I always like to search the stats, and I noticed that we beat them on rebounds by fifteen, which is excellent. It would be nice to have another post presence other than Reagan.

I don’t think they played poorly at all. We don’t have the roster to allow our starters to stay on unnecessarily. Our freshmen have no choice but to play this year and the most important thing right now is making sure they’re ready. 40 foot buzzer won’t be as exciting if we’re losing conference games. It was today though! My ears are still ringing and I was at the very top.

One thing to remember is that even our subs were experienced last year. This year, they are as green as grass!
