LK is going to earn his salary and more with halftime adjustments. That includes explaining to Trae that he cannot play to draw fouls and has to look for assists in the second half

Also an issue with this team is that Trae is really our only consistent playmaker so far. Everyone else is just a role player really. McGusty can create his own shot sometimes but not consistently. WVU is disrupting a lot of Trae's playmaking game.

Just need to calm down. We haven't been pushed around like this yet this season. The guys need to realize that they are not going to get a lot of the fouls called that are occurring. Thus, this will be a game that they will have to be more mentally tough and fight through adversity. At worst, it will be a valuable learning experience.

I was at the TCU game. TCU was nowhere near as physical as WV is tonight....not even close. TCU just kicked our butts on the boards for most of the game until we adjusted.

WV backed out of the trap for the most part. Open 3s are going to be there. Just need to not expect to get calls when we drive and look for the lob to Jamuni or kick out for the 3

Bob Huggins should be ashamed of himself. I haven't seen this type of thuggery to this level since the 1989 Pistons. And, in my opinion, this isn't basketball as it was meant to be. No skill involved, just intimidation and bullying. Hack-- the refs can't and won't call them all. The refs are afraid (I would be too). What a mockery of the sport. The Big XII should be ashamed of Bob Huggins and his product. Not good for the face of the game at all. Just my opinion, but needed to vent (my wife doesn't want to hear it, nor does she have context. Love her though

You can bet Lon told his players what to expect. It’s like this every year in Morgantown. The only thing you can’t predict is how the game will be called? It’s clear muggings were legal in the first half. If that doesn’t change, we may be in trouble. In so, our only option is to match WVU’s rough physical play or continue to get pushed around.

But, the truth is we’re getting outplayed. Carter is also giving Trae a taste of what defenses will be like in the NBA.
