Is that it probably maximizes the amount of time that Lon will want to coach. Having your family living in the same town, and in this case, working with you, can do nothing but help that situation.

Now go hire Rayford Young and call it a day!

Good thought there. If this means that Coach Kruger continues to run the OU basketball program for an extra year or two, that is a good thing.

Rayford has a pretty damn good job already. Probably makes. More than what the Asst job would pay.

This is a great hire. He can count on his son who has played seven years in D leagues and overseas, which shows he has no problem with the grind or location to be a part of the game. He also played at ASU and under his dad one year in Vegas, taking them to a sweet sixteen.

Good post, BT!

This thought had occurred to me too. Obviously Lon knows more about what kevin brings to the table than what his resume says and I trust Lon. I do think he needs to add a guy who is a big man specialist now though.

Just saw a picture of Kevin. That dude is literally a clone of Lon

Well, if that is what Coach wants then I'll wait to see his performance - especially recruiting and coaching defense and rebounding, otherwise, Welcome!

I hope the second hiring is a coach that can tutor bigs.

I thought Coach Hill did a good job with the bigs.

I thought Coach Hill did a good job with the bigs.

In the practices that I attended this past season, Coach Henson usually ran the drills for the bigs when the team broke out into separate units.

Thanks for the correction, I noticed that Hill talked to the bigs when they came off the court for timeouts, etc. Didn't realize he did not coach bigs in practice.

Every coach coaches every player in basketball. Where it get breaks down by responsibility is in individual drills or in game prep, which fans don't have access to. Shooting and big man work were mostly Henson's responsibility. Hill mostly worked with guards.
