A "what if" question

If she were to come here, she and Nancy would only overlap in two of the four years, a time in which she may be gathering seasoning. I see them as quite different.

Mulkey is quite a bit taller and much more of an intimidator. She also has better hands. I think she is also a better shooter.

Ive seen Prince twice, and she is young. She has talent, but is not yet the sensation that some have painted. She may well be. But, I think she will be more of a typical post. By the time she is in college, there will probably be a few 6-7 girls around, not many 6-9. She may end up more physical than Nancy.

If together, I would put Nancy at high post on offense because of her shooting and passing skills. Prince would be a low post. It would make for a difficult team to guard. How many teams can deal with one player 6-7? I would probably put Nancy at low post with Prince coming out to stop everything at about the free thorw line on defense. Nancy is simply too much of an intimator to take away from the rim.

Marble Falls is a pretty small town about an hour outside of Austin. It's a great place for a lake house, but I'd be concerned about the level of competition she normally plays.

How did she do with the national team?

I'm not sure how this relates to the original questions but, she did make the USA U16 team.

Prince will be better than Mulkey if not better than her already. She will be back at Texas though.....at least that's what I'm hearing.

I suspected she would still go to Texas. IF we could get Prince, it would take us to a new level.

What school do you represent? You certainly are not an OU fan.

Sorry i do not represent any school. I just scout the kids and help run different tournaments. I have no agenda whatsoever when i give my opinion.

I think Collier for sure will not go back to Texas and i think there is a 50/50 chance Richards will look else where

You should know that a handful on here do not want to hear any opinion that suggests there are better players than we are getting. The rest of us appreciates hearing opinions from any knowledgeable source.

Posts like this are why I can't think of you as a Moderator, Sorry.

You may be correct, Norm, but it would be truly foolish to believe every player we get is better than any other player at any other University in the nation. Which posters do you think believe that?

I suspect many of our posters believe we recruit some really excellent players and hope we will be successful at competing in the Big-12.

I did notice that the big-12 PR folks who produced the video about the upcoming season agree with your position that we will not be competitive at the top level in the conference. In fact they said the only team that could possibly challenge Baylor was Texas. The coaches poll they showed did not suggest that - but it was the position Gerber took in his verbal description of things.
