An embarrassment of riches in softball

The pitching rotation will include:
Kelsey Stevens. Who knows if she will return to form.
Paige Parker. Her knee should be well. Now a sophomore with a year in the fire behind her.
Jayden Chestnut did well her freshman year. Can move the ball around.
Brittany Finney. A little control to go with her speed and we have another winner.
Nicole Mendez. A pitching utility lefty.
Maria Lopez. Hard thrower very highly ranked (No 1 I think)
Melanie Olmes. Highly ranked control pitcher like Gascoigne Patty says.
Gasso has once again gathered an outstanding group. You can tell that she is absolutely determined not to be shorthanded of pitchers again. This group will be hard to be kept happy so many are good.
 
We need two of those pitchers to be great. If a third can be really good, our pitching staff should get us by some great teams even when our hitting may struggle.
 
Gasso ia a great recruiter. May be the best of all the head coaches at OU.
 
Nicole Mendez, Maria Lopez, and Melanie Olmes won't be with the team until next year. Jayden pitched in fall scrimmages but hasn't yet pitched in her freshman year. Kelsey Stevens is a senior and will be gone when the others arrive next year. Patty is definitely recruiting well. This year's team will have a lot of talented young position players (it was last year's #1 recruiting class in the country)
