UTA gave us a game last year. Anyone think they can hang around with us this year? I think it is possible if Spangler doesn't play.

Without Spangler just about everyone could make it tough on us. But, Tulsa beat UTA, we should be fine.

I don't see that Tulsa has played UTA? Am I missing something? UTA only lost to Texas by 3 in Austin, but does have an overall record of 4-6. Should be an easy win at home but we are a little banged up.

You are right. Tulsa beat another OU opponent. UALR.

I think we should sit Spangler and only use him if its close with 10 mins left in the 2nd half. We need Spang as healthy as he can be for big 12 play. Bennett sure could use Spangs mins in this game too. Also let Cousins play a lot of PG mins incase Hornbeak is out longer then he is suppose to be.

I don't think that this team is good enough to just be fooling around with the lineup for practice.

UTA does have Reger Dowell averaging over 22 ppg and F Brandon Edwards averages about 20 pts & 10 rebs. They also have former TTU G Jamel Outler. They aren't going to be a cakewalk but OU should win pretty handily if they play well.

Someone let me know if Reger Dowell still does the neat trick when he's playing defense off the ball and gets so caught up watching the man with the ball, that sometimes his man could make it 7 or 8 steps away from before he notices he's moved.
