Huston-Tillotson, an NAIA team, last 4 games (all losses) have been against Lamar, Texas State, Incarnate Word and UTSA. Enrollment at the university is 900.

Their football team was disappointed that they couldn't schedule a football game with them...

As long as they win, the hypocritical fans don't care! Have you heard a peep from their football fans??? We can only hope that this pathetic game would be the difference in them NOT making the tourney versus making the tourney!
 
What's the point of even playing the game?

Seems like you would get more value out of an intra-squad scrimmage.
 
Baylor has done this for decades usually in January/February during their bye. They play one game against a Texas D2 or NAIA school- Wayland Baptist; Hardin Simmons; Paul Quinn, etc... Doesn't count against RPI and allows them to play their bench heavy minutes.
