I noticed the Big-12 website does not list the OU-Baylor game in the schedule listed at the top of the webpage. Does that mean Baylor wants to cancel it in case Johnson is still hurt? :ez-roll:

Just teasing. I'm sure it is just another indication of the ineptness of the conference website. The game is still in the regular schedule - and obviously there is no thought of cancelling.

The difficulty presented by the loss of Johnson shows the extent to which relying on a player or two hurts when they are out. I have noticed Baylor has not played many people a lot of minutes this year - even with the weak schedule - and almost totally home games. Johnson has played almost every minute - even in run away wins. Perhaps that is due to no one really able to back her up. Davis also lost some of her scoring punch with Johnson out.

Has anyone heard exactly what the injury is and if she is expected back Sunday?

In newspaper it said bruised bone, I think in her foot.

What is her injury?

In the recap of the OSU win over Baylor, the only sentence describing the injury stated:

"Baylor was missing star point Niya Johnson, who was sidelined with a bone bruise."

I'm not sure exactly what that means, how you get that injury, or how serious it is.

Sounds painful.

Baylor has 11 players with double digit minutes of playing time so far. We only have 8. If you count the one game Carter played, it is 9.

I think that both coaches would rather play this game later in the year, thinking that their team will be better in March than now.

They play at the end of the year in Norman - with only 2 days rest after their previous games.

Then possibly in the Big-12 Tournament.

It is probably not a perfect idea to schedule both their games right at the edges of the schedule. I bet you are right that the coaches would have preferred a different plan.

Officially, Stillwater was Baylor's first road game. They had played four at neutral sites. Officially, Baylor is 0-1 on the road. They get to finish strong at home against OSU, Iowa State, and Texas in their last five games.

I think the Big 12 games will be interesting this Sunday. Planning on the Texas vs Texas Tech game. I believe there will be some unexpected wins ahead.
