Best thing about the KU game was Jalen Hill

One positive the other night was Jalen Hill was able to and willing to compete against KU. His three point attempt looked tentative but later he pumped faked and took a dribble before nailing a deep jump shot. He hasn't done that against any type of competition.
He also was aggressive defensively and took mixed it up underneath.

He was far from playing great but I thought it was most encouraging thing about the game the other night.

I love Hill's potential. Will he flop in year 2 like so many others under Lon?

Good lord. Did Lon sleep with your wife?

It's as bad a Leroy's old obsession with Polla. These are the most annoying posts -- when a thread on a specific topic is turned into another reason to bash the coach/program. People can't even let one post on a particular subject pass without this crap.

Agree fully on Hill. He played hard, competed, and did some of the dirty work that we need more of. I would have been fine with him playing even more minutes, especially since we weren't getting anything from Reaves. Hill's shot is obviously a question mark but his rebounding and effort are encouraging.

I agree on Hill and it was great to see Harmon continue to look better. Actually, Harmon, Hill and Bienemy are all trending upward the last few games. We just need the "big 3" to be big instead of iffy or not at all.

agreed! A few of OUr guys seemed a bit intimidated ... but not Hill. He was mixin it up in there.

Get em on the ignore list. It’s easier. Only problem is you see them on quotes still.

Or just read it and choose to disregard it. Someones basketball posts shouldn't bother you that much.

I don't block Trump on Twitter, and he bothers me a lot more than my critics here. :)

The advantages to having a pair. There's definitely some upside to it.

Coach, Wichita,

I have been married for almost 25 years. I antagonize (jokingly) my wife daily. Why do I continue to do it? Because she falls for it almost every time. If she would ignore me, I would probably go away (change my behavior).

It's a valid concern. Last year most of us thought Bieniemy played very well and expectations were very high for him this year. He has for whatever reasons failed to come even close to expectations. Now I'm starting to read posts saying "he wasn't very good last year and he's not very good this year and it's no surprise".
James/Odomes/Mcgusty/Buford/Freeman/Polla. The list is growing longer. Now here we are. New year. New player. My confidence level in the coaching staff coaching these seemingly talented freshman to get better each year is rock bottom. Are Hill, Victor and Harmon next?

Did I read this right...Goldberg slept with Stone Cold wife?

I concur. Noted.

I don't know if JB will improve but he is already at his worst better than Odomes, McGusty and Buford. Polla and Freeman are totally different types of players. Issanza and Kur you can compare to them.

I wasn't comparing JB to the others. Just saying none of them improved after their freshman seasons. Or very little improvement. Including JB.
So either one of two things is happening. Lon is not recruiting Big 12 caliber talent, or he's not coaching up the players he is getting into Big 12 caliber contributors.

To each his own.
