Big win for our season

Definitely so... Buddy put the team on his back and carried us to victory. Great win !!!

UCLA is gonna be scary as hell later on this year but flawed for sure.
 
I agree. They should be fight 'zona for the conference title. If they finish second, as I expect, then they'll be a signature win for us on a neutral court. This tournament was probably our best chance to get a signature win until conference play so I am glad we pulled it out.
 
An odd game in which neither team ever seemed to really find its stride for very long (at least that's how it seemed to me as I watched on my phone at work -- I wasn't able to watch nearly as closely as I would have liked), but a big, big win for the Sooners. We needed this one.
 
Down 8 with 9 minutes to go and win by 10 against a ranked team. That's something.

Hate to be this guy, but not sure we bounce back and win if we didn't get slapped in the face at Creighton. As tough as the Creighton loss was to deal with, it made the team better. And it showed today.

So pumped for tomorrow.
 
We should be very pleased that we won a game while being outrebounded and shooting only 32% from the field. UCLA even shot better than we did from the field. We hit threes, and UCLA missed free throws.

I'm happy for the win as well. But as you mentioned above, that
should not be the winning formula for us moving forward.
 
This game was a battle to see who could play the more inept offense....UCLA showed they were better at that.

I think we are a long way from reaching our potential but I think the pieces are there to be very good.

Pretty typical for many early season games around the country when playing a talented opponent from a major conference. The key to a special season is continuous improvement. The offense should improve as the season grinds on.

This win helps OU and the Big-12.

Beat Butler! It will be a challenge, for sure. That is good news as this OU team needs to be challenged. It is the best way to improve.

It was ugly at times..

I will take a win against arguably the greatest program of all-time. Ucla has some legit NBA talent this year, too.
 
It was a big win. I heard some TV analysts commenting on UCLA after the game. They said they would be OK because they have 3 1st round draft picks on their roster.

OU beat a talented team today while not playing their best.
