After watching CyFair and Texas United, it seems like the type of play that is involved tends to expose weaknesses in the players. I saw more of what I didn't like than what I did. The best of players were throwing the ball away, looking awkward, shooting too much when they had no shot, and looking like they only had one concern---getting attention. Some players think they are supposed to shoot every time they touch the ball.
Some players wanted to show off their ball-handling skills, and they only revealed that they aren't that good. I'm not sure that the California team has anyone who has ever shot the ball. Michigan may be the place for Sherri to recruit guards. Everyone shot well, and they didn't miss a free throw until late in the game. Michigan was also the best-coached team. Other teams seemed to have no direction. I didn't see one guard from Texas that I thought I wanted at OU, on either team. Dungee looked pretty good, especially in comparison.
I suspect that any scouts that make an evaluation are full of it. A coach might be able to look at the player and see how they can use the specific talents of the player in their system. But, they really didn't see a player that was ready to play. They saw traits, some skills, some weaknesses. CyFair had no more direction than a backyard scramble. Shooting seems to be a problem, unless you are from Michigan.
Felisha Gibbs came to mind.
