Has there been another single player coming back for his senior year that has made this much difference in a team?

His decision to come back was good for him, his future, his team, and the OU basketball program.

Said it elsewhere, but I've never seen a player improve so much from junior to senior year. He has made himself a lot of money, going from second rounder to probably mid first rounder. He's also goign to collect some nice hardware.

The first 14 picks are the lottery picks. Those are the teams that don't make the playoffs and all have a chance at getting the ping pong ball for the top 3 picks.

It's no big deal, but it would be great if Buddy would be picked in the top half of the first round. All first-rounders get a guaranteed 3-year contract, but the higher you get drafted, the more money you get.

I think he made a lot more money for himself by coming back for his senior season.

Blake impoved a lot between his freshman and sophomore years, but i don't think he improved as much as Buddy has.

Wasn't the question the impact on the team? I think OU would have been very average at best without Blake Griffin.

With respect to improvement, Griffin's scoring was up 8 points (more than a 50% increase) and his rebounding was up 5 rebounds (more than 50%). His shooting percentage was also vastly improved. I am not sure I agree he didn't improve as much as Buddy.

Sort of..... The question was biggest impact on a team by a returning senior. No big deal. I think most players improve the most between their freshman and sophomore years.

I thought the same thing last night but deleted the comment because the question was about players returning for a Sr. year. :)

Yeah, huge improvements are common from fresh to soph year. They aren't from junior to senior years.

Stacey King made as big an improvement as any Sooner player ever, in my opinion, but as with Woodard, it was as a junior, not a senior.
