Buddy wins 1st Big 12 POtW

Maybe it was just b/c of the way the opponent was playing him, but I was hoping to see more all around play from Buddy. There will be times where his shot isn't falling and I want to see him be able to expand his offensive game. Maybe he has and will show that, i just don't want him to become an outside jump shooter.

You're criticizing him for taking shots on the hottest shooting night a guard has had in OU history?

He made the Wooden Award Watch List as well.

If he plays the way I think he will, he should make the cut.

I'm not criticizing him really. I was just hoping to see a more all around game from him. He probably will show it but I'm just worried about him just playing around the three point line instead of transforming his game.

I know what you mean. I do think he doesn't get enough credit for the rest of the game. He attacks the rim and chases his shots for second chances. He does a lot of the little stuff. It just so happens an open 3 by a great shooter is on of the best shots in basketball.

As a shooter, if you are feeling it you just go with it and continue til you miss. I don't see Buddy just standing around. Most of his career he has been one of those guys you have to constantly have to move with and he wears them down. I think he will be very verastile during the season.
