They are on a 6 game winning streak and are 11-3, tied for first place in their league. They just won on the road at 20-8 UTEP.

They would have to upset a 24-5 Southern Miss team or a 23-6 LA Tech team to do it. But, Tulsa did beat Southern Miss earlier this year.

Manning might be taking them in the right direction. They start 5 sophomores. Would be awesome if they could win C-USA and get in the NCAA Tournament.

PG: Shaq Harrison (sophomore)
SG: James Woodard (sophomore)
SF: Rashad Smith (sophomore)
PF: D'Andre Wright (sophomore)
PF: Lew Evans (sophomore)

thatd be great. Ive said it 100 times but if they had Jordan Clarkson still, theyd be really good C-USA team.
I was worried about him early but their schedule was pretty tough early.

He'll obviously have to win the C-USA tournament to do it.

But there's no reason they can't.

That tournament will be a toss-up among Southern Miss, La. Tech, Tulsa and maybe UTEP, since it's in El Paso.

As you noted, Tulsa beat Southern Miss earlier in the year, and they also led La. Tech for most of their game against them (on the road) before losing it in the last 5 minutes.

If Manning has them going in the right direction that's a very good thing. Remember that they will step up the competition significantly next year when they move to the American Athletic Conference. They're going to be trading Southern Miss and La. Tech for UConn, Memphis, Cincinnati, SMU, etc.

Bump for TU winning a share of the C-USA title last night.

Great job by Manning this year with a young TU team. They ended up being one meltdown loss to Charlotte from winning the title outright.

Still... Great job, considering where they've been for the past decade.

The C-USA tournament will probably be a toss-up between them, Southern Miss and La. Tech.

Nice... regardless of what happens in the C-USA tournament, it was great for them to win their last 8 games of the season and put themselves in a position to make the NCAA Tournament.

Looks like TU is getting the two seed, opposite of LA Tech.

3 wins away from a Tourney birth.

Wow! They sure have come a long way from where they started the year.

Of course, we know what happens to coaches that have success at Tulsa.

what are the odds of Wichita State getting knocked out in the first round by a "Belmont" type team?
