If Trump wins a second term, I hope for the following.
1.) A more restrained Trump domestically now that he doesn't have to campaign anymore. Not that I don't expect him to keep fighting for what he believes, but just the every day nonsense he does. Hopefully he turns that down.
2.) Strong economic recovery
3.) Increased resources into therapies and a vaccine for Covid, once they become available. Hopefully he can bring them to market quickly. He is limited by relying on the private sector, but I am confident he will do everything possible on this one.
4.) Properly deal with the upcoming situation in the UK...... as they start to move away from China, move forward with leaving the EU, and have a serious economic recovery on their hands. An opportunity with them probably exists. I thought they were going to pivot to China, but now that they have halted the Huawei deal and with Covid, it seems that may not happen
5.) Get out of Iraq, completely. Get out of Afghanistan, completely.
6.) Continue to focus on American manufacturing.
7.) Stop being blatantly dishonest
8.) Make a great deal with China, that doesn't cut off our nose despite our face.
That's about all I can hope for from a second term from him... Most other things will be a loss for me, but that happens. I mean, there will be other things he does that will be good. He's done good things in this term. Hard to list everything you would and don't want.
If Biden wins, what I hope to see is:
1.) A public option to buy into Medicare, and the age for Medicare being dropped to 60. That would be a huge change in our society.
2.) Job training and community colleges tuition free. That would be a huge change in our society.
3.) Economic recovery from the pandemic.
4.) Get out of Iraq and Afghanistan
5.) Put two or three liberal justices on the bench of SCOTUS
6.) Get back into the peace deal with Iran, and make any improvements necessary to it.
7.) Implement the already established bipartisan fixes identified for Obamacare
8.) Make big strides in race relations. Bring calm to the nation.
Like you said micT, too much to list.
