Combinado Valenciano

OU leads 41-32 at the half. I'm not sure the scorekeeper's numbers are correct. But, they have Vivi with ten, Chelsea, Maddie, and Gabbi with five. Vivi has 7 rebounds.

Penzo, Vivi, Peyton, T'Ona, and Chelsea started. They jumped out 9-2 and stalled, falling behind 10-9 or 13-12 before we got a three to four point lead and nursed it, finally getting to ten late.

The minutes played is where I have questions. They have Maddie with six, Penzo with 14, and Chelsea with 3. I think Chelsea played about as much as anyone. They also credit Morgan Rich with a rebound.

81-61 final
Vivi 15
Gabbi 16 (nine came in garbage time at the end. According to live stats, she hit a three after she fouled out)
Peyton 12 (9? she hit a three after the game ended?)
Maddie 8
Chelsea 7 (started strong, waned)
Nancy 2 points, 2 rebounds, 2 blocks in about six minutes.
Penzo had 18 minutes and did a lot of good things, but she didn't score.

Nancy is not playing much. Is she ok ? I would have thought these games would be a great place to force feed her some minutes.

Mulkey is a project and I think it's showing now... The light could never click on, or it could click on this season... She still has a long career ahead of her...

And it may be that the opposition doesn't have anyone over 6 foot tall so it's a bad matchup defensively whenever she gets in unless they go zone.

That would make her to slow for D1 basketball... Not a good thing.

Since Nancy has been recovering from an injury, they may just be bringing her along slowly to reduce opportunity for re-injury. When she is on the court, things seem to happen.

I don't know the extent of her ankle sprain during practice before the trip, but I do think the side of caution is better for a bunch of scrimmages, then taking a chance of re-injury.
