Was defeated tonight by Dekaney 60-56.
Only 20 minutes from each other. Last year the schedule was just the opposite. They do it this way in Houston because the girls and boys play the same night and it's easier to keep up with it this wayWhere in the world is Dekaney located?
It is also weird that Cy Woods almost never plays at home. To date they appear to have had 2 home games and 14 on the road.
Any idea why they schedule that way? Sort of like what Sherri did with us last year - and it didn't work out so well.

What is meant by the phrase "last year the schedule was the opposite"? I looked and they did not play 14 games at home and only 2 on the road in the first part of the season.
Cate Reese had 29 pts in the loss. I don't know how many Nancy had.
It's Cate Reese team hands down. The reason it's not working this year is because there leading scorer and best player graduated plus Perez was dang near the second best player and she is TulsaThey may be pretty weak once you get past Nancy and Reese. It appears the rest of the team (including Nancy) only scored 27 points. Most games they count on more from the other players outside of Nancy & Reese.
But it does appear they are trying to use the same strategy as last year - where they use Nancy to expose a guard and allow her to score almost uninhibited. Interesting approach, but not as effective this year - possibly due to the others still learning.

They appear to have replaced last year's leading scorer to at least a reasonable degree.
If you have one player score 29 and another block 10 shots, you should win. If you don't, the most likely reason is because the other players have bad games.
I suppose another factor could be terrible defense by all except the one who blocks 10 shots (not ready to claim that person had a bad game on defense).
Reese also had 16 rebs last night.
I grew weary of your nonsense on your first day on the board. Enough.

Of course a few home games wouldn't hurt. No coach should accept a schedule with 14 out of 16 games on the road. Not at the HS level -or any other level.
Where are you guys finding the box scores?
Do you ever post except to attack me? It is entertaining, and I am glad that I haunt you so.As have many on this board who have been more than weary of your nonsense for over eight years. If it doesn't agree with you then you don't want to here it. The presentation of different ideas and perspective and the discussion therein should always be welcomed regardless how weary it makes any of us feel. The discussion of differing opinions is the foundation of a website.
The solution to your problem is to not expose yourself to that which you consider nonsense. Perhaps start your own board, control access and live in bliss. Otherwise join in the discussion and counter others perspectives with your own. But remember none of our opinions on this board amount to a hill of beans in the overall scheme of things.
Were you not critical of Lauren Cox for not leading her team to a state championship?
