That Jeff Webster is now, somehow, the #2 all-time scorer in OU history? Tim McCalister has been #2 for years and years, but now the chart shows Webster to have scored six more points in his career (2,281-2,275).

What gives? I don't have an old press guide handy, but I do NOT remember that being the case.

that caught my attention as well during the introductions, because you have it ingrained in my head. the first media guide i could find was from '97. t-mac 2, webster 3. jeff has been credited 17 points somewhere along the way since then.

I looked at my old press guides. The extra 17 points were added prior to the 2009-10 season. The 17 points were the points he scored in the 3 games he played in his freshman year of 1989-1990. (Do I remember right that he was injured and was granted an extra year?) Prior to the '09-'10 season, his total points in the press guides did not include the '89-'90 season.

Why shouldn't they count? He played in them. Glad they got things corrected.

show me someone who is arguing that they shouldn't count. geez. that's not the point. 15 years later, our third leading scorer gets credited for 17 more points from a fifth season. no one's getting worked up over it, it's just curious.
