What a remarkable player. He appears to have plenty left in the tank too. A couple more years of 20 ppg will raise him to #6. That's very doable.

Hard to find a classier dude too. Remember when he was sick in the finals vs the Heat & Wade was caught on video making fun of him with fake sniffles? Dirk wore their ass out. He was unstoppable. That was legendary.

Dirk still owes some payback for getting beat in the first round of the playoffs in his MVP season. Beware!!

Has been my favorite player in the league for a long time.

Flourishing at an old age because he never really relied on athletic ability. Because of his size and skill set he is a mismatch for most anyone.

There is a lot of debate about who should be on the Mt. Rushmore of Dallas sports and Dirk has clearly earn a spot on that list. He is Dallas Mavericks Basketball plain and simple. I don't think people are gonna realize just how much he will be missed once he hangs em up.

So glad he finally had his moment in the sun in that 2011 finals run. A truly epic performance by both him and the team. Dirk is still capable of competing at a high level and very likely will finish as the Number 5 or 6 scorer in history. Pretty impressive considering how many of those have been from the perimeter. One of the best pure shooters ever really.

I'm sure he'll resign for a very friendly extension this off season to hopefully add more talent and keep trying to make a run at one last title (not sure it will happen though).

MLB, NHL, NFL and NBA in Dallas. Al lot of players, however Dirk is No 1 in the community. He is Mr Dallas
