Teams in this year’s field that would be subject to NCAA-imposed sanctions that could keep them from postseason play are: Cal Poly (925), Coastal Carolina (921), North Carolina Central (903), Oklahoma State (928), Providence (915), Texas Southern (900), Connecticut (897) and Oregon (918).

Nothing new for OState. They've had academic issues/improprieties in their athletic department for decades.

Looks like UConn hasn't learned anything from the Calhoun days.

Curse those handsome devils!

Seriously though, this is a big Ford issue. One of the many reasons we need to kick him to the curb.

Fact that kids keep being kicked to the curb ain't helping those numbers.

Jeff

Serious question here, when was Stevie Clark booted from the team? Had the 2nd Semester already started? If so would that count against the APR since he didnt finish the semester?

Not trying to stir the pot, just curious.

It was definitely in the second semester, because it was in the middle of Big 12 play.

I have no idea how it would affect APR... I have no idea how that works.

Poke fans are on board with digger picking them to the national championship game...
Extend ford for 10 more!!!

Has OSU beaten a single good team away from Stillwater this year?

Colorado when they still had Dinwiddie. (They're still pretty decent without him.) La. Tech if you count them as "good."

Outside of that, not really.

We have a bunch of last-possession and OT losses to good teams away from Stillwater. Does that count? ;)

Yup, wasn't his final game in an OSU uniform against OU in Norman? :D

I still think the APR stuff is a bunch of crap.

The NCAA needs to ensure that teams are putting in safety nets and encouraging their students to try to succeed academically.

But they also shouldn't be discouraging coaches from taking chances on kids who may be academic risks. Those are the exact kids that DESERVE a chance.

Same goes for removing players from the team for bad behavior. A team shouldn't be punished for booting a bad seed.

I understand the purpose of the rules. They are desigend to keep teams from becoming basketball factories that ignore the academic needs of their student athletes. But these rules don't accomplish that at all. Programs can still shuffle their athletes through the easiest programs in the university.
