Is there any other place to view this game other than espn 3? My tv provider does not have an agreement with Espn.

There are several websites based in Europe that stream almost every college basketball and football game, regardless of network. Or NFL and NBA games.

I wanted to actually go to the game but a buddy of mine was too late in getting back to me about whether he would go or not and all the lower level sold out.

Well I just got a suite ticket to the thunder game so I guess it doesn't matter that I can't watch it anyways...even though it would have been nice to record and watch later

You can always watch on firstrowsports.eu. That's what I do if something is on WatchESPN or ESPN3 (they are the same thing).

Well, they are essentially the same but WatchESPN apparently has different network/service affiliations because I can't watch anything on it, but can watch everything on ESPN3. That has really ticked me off lately because a number of things I'd be interested in watching end up on WatchESPN and aren't available for ESPN3.

Generally the home team's TV agreement controls. Maybe when espn decided to put it online that made it exclusive.

Correct, the espn tv contracts supersede the third tier rights that the soonersports network has.
