That's the game where OU's team avenged a home loss to Puke by winning in the final game of the "old" Upper-GI. Nolan Johnson was a real stud in that game. Eduardo had a slow start in that one, but it all worked out in the end.

That was also the night where someone from OSU's athletic department brought a spittoon or something to "catch the spirit" of the old Pantry of Doom. There wasn't much spirit left for the home crowd when that game ended. :dance005:

Thanks for posting the reminder. I caught most of the second half. I had missed that game due to high school playoff games. This was the first chance I'd ever had to see it.

we went 1 4 flat with Nolan at the top for about the last 10 min of the game and he dominated desmon mason over and over and over ..

By today's officiating standards, everyone in that game would have fouled out!

:D

I remember I gave us little chance in winning that game . SR night , last game in the old arena , a stud roster full of srs.
I remember the lefty Nolan going playground on everyone and Mason crying like a girl after the game . Eddie ( Ou's) went and gave him a hug like the classy guy he was .

I was trying to remember what OU's lead was in Bedlam back then. I think it was about 32 games. I was also shocked, while watching this replay with my mom, that she thought OSU led Bedlam in men's basketball. I thought she knew better. Oh well; she does now.

we were down like 6 or 8 as i recall....which in THAT game, with Kelvin and Eddie....was like being down 15. like others, Nolan schooling Desmond Mason was something beautiful.

With about 11 minutes to go, we were down by 13.

That was the ultimate AGGIE thing I ever saw. What a great memory with that game.

I know a lot of people that are under the same misconception.
