Tonight, at midnight, on ESPN Classic you have one of the wildest OU games in history. From the fall of 1989, it's the running and gunning Sooners of Jackie Jones, William "Cheese" Davis and Skeeter Henry, against the "when in doubt, shoot" mad bombers from Loyola Marymount with Bo Kimble, Jeff Fryer and Terrell Lowery.

Note: Hank Gathers did not play in the game. He collapsed the first time about a week or so prior to our arrival.

suh-weet. big thanks. i wondered during the 30 for 30 why classic didn't show the OU game during their hank gathers anniversary marathon. this is going to be great, so many memories.

i barely remember mike harris.

so weird seeing top daug...at road games.

If Cheese Davis had only been 6'9 or so...he could have played 10 years in the league. VERY effective post player at only 6'6.

I DVRed this last night, haven't had the time to watch this game yet. But I am planning to keep it saved and when I get a new computer next month I plan to rip it this whole game onto youtube "Arenateam" style.

I forgot how players back then were built like tootpicks....

Just now watching this, man this is beautiful basketball.

I shudder to think the havoc Blake could've caused in this system, all those alleyoop dunks he would've got.

Alex Brown sighting!
