Even bragging that it brought down her poll numbers. The stupidity of republicans never ceases to amaze. Will they even call her to testify after this gaffe? She will castrate them.

Boehner, as worthless as he was, could at least keep a straight face and pretend their charades were legitimate.

Hillary is going to win so easily. Carville is going to have a field day with this. So much material to work with. Too easy.
 
The big lie has been the strategy since Willie Horton. It works. For the faithful, the fact that he admitted (as has been done earlier) that the entire series of investigations was a ploy to attack Hillary is of no consequence. First, they still believe it. Secondly, tomorrow, they will deny that he admitted it, with a completely straight face and be outraged that you don't understand their outrage over her crimes. This is really no different from Brand X advertising. You are always better than Brand X, even though there is no Brand X, and everyone except you is Brand X.

This is not new. It has been used by charlatans for thousands of years, the only way that they can have power when facts dispute them. Reject science. Reject logic. Nothing can convince them that anything other than their way could be right. We simply wait for them to die off---which they do.
 
True syrbarite. As usual you nailed it. The incoming speaker bragging about the big lie should provide a strong boost to Hillary's approval rating amongst democrats and independents.

Do you think Biden is going to throw his hat into the ring? Very risky for him. Could be dropping out in just a few months. People forget in 2008 he got 1% in Iowa. He's really not a very good candidate. Everybody is popular until they run.
 
It would not be wise for Biden to challenge Hillary. Between Bill and Hillary, the Democratic nomination is pretty solid. I figure Hillary to be a one-term President by choice, and that any entrants this year may be gaining a stage for 2002. But, I don't see that as Biden time. I look now to Gilliland or Whitehorse. Gilliland has raised so many funds for other candidates that she has a lot of people in her debt.

What in there says that the whole point of the investigation was to bring down hilary.

Nobody has ever denied that that is one of the reasons. It was to show that she lied. It was to uncover the truth about her involvement.

But keep trying man. This isn't news.

2. You left out the context of his statement and the preceding sentence. Hannity was attacking him for not fighting for conservatives. His response -

“What you’re going to see is a conservative speaker and a conservative caucus with a strategy to fight and win. Let me give you one example: Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable, right? But we put together a Benghazi special committee. A select committee. What are her numbers today? Her numbers are dropping.”

Now I know republicans aren't very bright but surely you know the meaning of the word "strategy".

3. As for her lying, lied about what? Showed her involvement in what? The investigations have revealed nothing. It's a smear campaign paid for with tax dollars.

4. This is now the longest special committee investigation in US history. Longer than watergate and the JFK assassination. Has nothing to do with Benghazi and never did. McCarthy slipped and admitted it because he's a dumb person with a 3rd grade vocabulary.

Just more fodder for the anti obama anti Hillary drooling imbeciles.

For all the talk about English (or as Sarah Palin says "american") being the official language of the USA Republicans certainly don't require the leadership of their party to speak it properly.
 
It still won't stop the email investigation which wasn't directly attached to Benghazi. Biden would not have a chance, nor would Gillibrand or Warren.
Everyone seems to forget that Sanders is doing well in polls and money without taking pac money. He could win the nomination but depending upon the Republican he could be in hot water. Actually, he would have an uphill battle anyway. It would help if Julian Castro would run with him as vice-president. Right now the rumor is he is running with Hillary, but if she doesn't get the nomination.

Okay, a little bit of rambling here. My point is I really want a Bernie/Castro ticket but I am scared to death it won't win and what will happen to the country in the next four years could be catastrophic.

Oh yeah, how many Republican lead committees cleared Hillary on Benghazi in the past few years? 4 or 5
 
McCarthy left some gaps in what he said. Clearly the stonewalling by Clinton and the state department on providing the committee the emails they asked for was one of the things that exposed the hidden server, the other possibly Valerie Jarrett leak.

This is just another example of people taking a statement and putting their own words in the gaps. People who are sayng that the committee was solely to bring down Hillary are intentionally leaping on an inartful statement to mislead the citizens, which is a very nasty thing to do.

As far as Benghazi is concerned, if the committee is doing their job they will find out why.

Hillary approved a legation that did not meet security standards in a dangerous environment.

Having approved the legation why did they not provide adequate security and why they in fact reduced security inspite of the ambassador's objection.

Why after an attack earlier in the year, an attack on the British ambassador which caused them to leave the area, the Red Cross leaving the area and numerous reports of increased terrorist activity in the region why was there no effort to strengthen security or leave the area.

Why the stand down order was given to the CIA personnel and why help was not sent immediately.

Why after the attack the video story came out of nowhere with no basis. The administration says it was in the CIA notes. The CIA agent says not so and I personally heard him interviewed. When asked what he thought when the video story came out he said that it was the most blatent (my words) crossing over of poiitics over national security he has seen in his long CIA career.

Why the vidoe story continued to be put out long after any competent orgainization would have discovered the truth.

The only political theatre here is the myth about a riot which never happened over a video. And the attempted cover up.

And it just happened to reinforce the campaign retoric by Obama that he had the terrorists on the run. Just happened to get him reelected.
