I'm still shocked that Eisenhower is down in 5A. I didn't go to school there, but my brother did - and his class had about 600 people in it. But I digress.
The Eagles have three key players whose dads played football at OU - Bentley Bross (son of Eric Bross), Mookie Douglas (son of the great option QB Rodney Douglas, who signed with OU but broke his leg badly in an all-star game and never saw the field), and R.J. Fisher (freshman point guard, and the son of Rod Fisher, the good RB out of Lawton Mac who also had health issues at OU).
Ike won, 43-41, earlier today. It's the first state title in basketball for a Lawton team since 1962. I've heard that Bross is going to walk-on at OU in football. Douglas will be an interesting prospect, mainly in football, in a couple of years (he's a soph) and Fisher may be their first D-1 prospect in hoops in awhile, by the time he finally graduates.
