Gameday OU @ Creighton 7:30 CST on FS1

It just seems that we are, once again, wandering in the wilderness without a plan. I'm not crazy about the construction of this roster as it relates to Lon's philosophy either. As each game passes, I'm losing more faith in this staff's ability to ever get us back into the top half of the conference.

And for the love of gawd.....get on the floor if there is a loose ball! I saw at least three times tonight where a defensive rebound could have been easily had, yet a Creighton player dove/outworked our defensive group to either get the rebound or tie it up.....smh. I'm sick of this lack of effort.

#batteredfansyndrome

Lon has had roster construction problems more years than not. A few years ago he had like 7 players at the same position, while not having good players at other necessary positions.

The recruiting is so bad you can't really deny it anymore.

Reaves how about passing the ball? Lon what kind of crappy offense do you go to every game down the stretch? One on one garbage. Happens every game. Brutal

One on one
that's actually his offense the WHOLE game...

I didn’t think we’d win this one after Saturday and a short turnaround. Plus, I haven’t seen anything from this team that would make me believe they could beat any good team on the road.

It’s sad what has become of the OU basketball program. It’s sad but not unexpected. You reap what you sow and the leadership of OU basketball doesn’t care about winning. They only care about winning just enough so as not to completely embarrass the university. Make the tourney here and there, win between 15-20 games a year, don’t be an embarrassment. That’s the investment from the top and that’s what we get.

Play in a concrete mausoleum. Disappointing fan support. No real investment into winning a championship. The goal is 20 wins and maybe an ncaa berth. Nothing more.

I would add....the admin also is VERY HAPPY with the wholesome follow the rules type guy Kruger is. I'm sure Kruger's reputation in the college basketball world is one of being a great guy...OU wants that, after Sampson and what's his face from duke.

Obviously basketball at OU (both groups) is not a priority. Coale got a raise, while putting a ****ty product on the floor after being a leader in the Bg12 and top 10 program. Both have hired their kids...thankfully Lon had Kevin move on...

Real stinker of a game. Point guards woeful shooting. Way too much one on one by Reaves and Doo. Poor defense on the treys. And probably a little homerism by the officials. Some strange calls. Just life on the road though.

Seems like Manek and Williams are the only players trying to score other than Doo and Reaves.

We still have three major weaknesses. 1) inside defense 2) point guard play and 3) rebounding.

Hill needs to get more into the offense.

You forgot about perimeter defense. Creighton’s three point shooters were so open they must have thought they were in a practice drill.

Our perimeter defense has been so bad at times, we’re in for a long, frustrating season if it doesn’t improve. Yes, there are a lot of new faces on this team. But when our players continue to look lost ten games into the season, I can’t help but wonder what our coaches have been doing since the practice sessions started?

Most feel that we are weak behind the arc. Our percentage is .324 vs our opponents .331. I think we are more hit or miss than weak on defense of the tray.

We do seem to have particular problems stopping the corner shooters.

Also I believe we left people more open than in most games. Most of the treys were wide open from good spots.
