Funny his agent is saying all the other teams offered him a max contract. The Lakers did not and couldn't while they are still pursuing Aldridge and Jordan. His current team Detroit didn't offer him much of anything.

We will see how he does, but I am surprised Detroit didnt want him. He is a very good player just now entering his prime. Bucks got a very good piece with him.

They need MCW, Parker, and Greek Freak to grow up quick. If either of those 3 turn into All-Star quality the Bucks will have multiple all-star caliber players.

He's an OK player on a lousy team. I like what the Bucks are doing, but Monroe will never be a piece to put anyone over the hump. Much like Jesus, he's just alright.

Monroe wasn't a great fit in Detroit.

Stan Van Gundy wants to play a four out style similar to what he did in Orlando, with Drummond as his new Dwight. Playing Drummond and Monroe together hurt their spacing, which wasn't great even when only one of them was on the floor. Jackson and Drummond played really well together--and the team was better overall--when Monroe was out for a few weeks late in the season.

Monroe is a natural center that you can play through from the high post. They are going to be a top 4 team in the east, just need some depth now & a healthy Parker.
