I think the balance between posts, forwards, and guards is fine. What is not fine is that they had no idea of how to play together while playing against a team that has played together. This apparently led to a lot of pick and roll layups for the Russians. We simply have to learn to play together in a hurry.
The alternative is that we have to shoot a lot better than 36% from 2 and 33% from 3. Our guards were something like six for twenty-five from two. Our shooting guards were all off.
