What I like most about Kelvin, other than the defense.....more than 1/4 of the way into the game, and all but ONE shot has been taken by 3 of their players.

They don't d*** around and try to keep everybody involved. Players know their roles, and play accordingly. They don't have Odomes out there shooting 3's, and they aren't trying to get shots for Lattin or Doolittle. Play to your strengths.

Odomes? Do you watch the games? He’s taken 15 3s all year and made 7 of them.

I realize he didn't take many, and had good success, but the point is, OU fans shouldn't want us running the offense to get Odomes 3 point shots. Open or not.

Kelvin's players always understood their roles. That's how they beat more talented teams.

I know everyone is disappointed in how we look right now. Especially after we looked so promising in the first half of the season. But I am watching this Houston/Cincinnati game and goodness gracious it is hard to watch. If either of these teams "deserve" to be in the playoffs(even if a play in game), then I have 0 problem feeling like we belong. :OU-logo:

You're crazy.. i see a team that blocks out, hustles, dives and doesn't take turns being selfish. They had a rough go on offense but both teams were.

That is what I see. Also two great D teams that know each other, and thus are making it tough. It's not bad offense, it's just poor shooting at times. That happens. Love the D and the rebounding though. Fun to watch a well coached team.

Except for that terrible committed foul then inbounds play.. yikes

No fouling? Wtf. Something crazy could have happened..

A lot of OU fans thought the same when Sampson was at OU. But what I liked is that a lot of coaches, teams, and fans from our conference also hated it and, more importantly, dreaded it.

I was not one of those as I was a big fan of Sampson. He even recruited a friend of mine back in 06 right before he left. The Talent level of this Houston team is not the same as some of the teams we had in Norman. I am not just a young kid looking for 3s or iso play. The ball handling was poor as well as the shooting. Maybe it was just an off game, but it was not very good looking basketball for the time I was watching. BTW I love hustling and defense and Kelvin has always and will always bring that to any team he is apart of.

You said it right. They don’t have great talent at Houston. They make up for it with effort. Teams are also naturally tired when they play 3-4 games in a row.
