Question whether Cade Davis was a wasted scholarship over the years.

Sometimes it takes some time for a player to develop.

We will be better next year without him though. (Enter a slight case of sarcasm here)

As crazy as it sounds, some actually believe this.

Cade has become a really good player for us and a bright spot on an otherwise dark season. He worked hard for 4 years and improved as a player, he def will be missed next year

I didn't, but I didn't think he would become the player that he has this year.

That's actually a reasonable thing to think with mostly freshmen and sophomores playing this year. The team won't be better because they lose Cade, they'll be better because other players improve and other teams lose their starters.

But Cade was awesome this year.

There was only a couple of guys that said he didn't belong in D1. Most have said he probably shouldn't be starting on a top 25-type team. I was one of those guys. He's improved enough this year that I'll back off that statement a bit. However, I still believe he fits better into a traditional 6th man type of role on a good team. He reminds me a bit of Jason Detrick (though Cade is the better rebounder).
