In thinking about the season, it is interesting that Texas lost 4 conference games: Three (3) to Baylor and one (1) to us.

Yet we lost several more overall games than UT in the Big-12 race. What do you make of that?

Were we just unfortunate that a couple of teams shot exceptionally well the night they played us? Or was it more a case of our inconsistency?

Another question. How could we beat Texas at home, but lose to North Texas also at home? In many ways that NT game is the most disappointing of the year for me.

Inconsistency. I don't think I've ever seen a team as inconsistent as this one.

It has been mentioned that there may be some issues going on behind the scenes. We will have to wait to see if anyone transfers at the end of the semester. If so, that might be a clue. It would also make one wonder why Kornet surprised everyone by leaving. If no one transfers, I think the logical answer is, some of our starters are just very inconsistent and they have a lot of work to do.

I had not heard about any issues. Where was that reported and who did they involve?

OU inconsistency is caused by them being inconsistent, that is the only thing that is consistent.

:ez-roll:

I don't know how much time they spent in the gym last summer, but they need to increase it quite a bit. Maybe Buddy would give them the schedule he used.

I also think we have such a great droop off when the bench comes in... It's like if Little isn't playing well, would you want to see L. Williams in her place? We don't have the bench to push our starters to be better...

I think our bench is better than it has been. But, this is accurate. There really isn't anyone to push the starters. Or, there isn't anyone to insert to give our starters a chance to relocate their shot.

We were consistent in one respect: poor defense. We played good defense in maybe 4-5 games this year. Maybe 4. Our bench isnt sufficiently competitive with the starters to give them good competition making everyone better.

I totally disagree re: the bench. There were MANY games this year when ViVi and/or T'ona and/or Derica were huge sparks to the team. In some games, our bench players were our most effective players. Sometimes our bench players didn't get a lot of minutes, but when they've been in there, they've consistently been able to play loose and as if there's nothing to lose -- whereas something has been "off" with at least 3 of our starters a lot of the time.

Our starters are our best players, certainly, but ViVi, T'Ona, and Derica have done their job VERY well this season, and are not the problem with this team IMO.
