I have never said this before

I agree. I have never felt this way before, but the last few games it just seemed like it would take a miracle for us to actually win one game.

One thing that I hope Capel takes from this is that he needs to stop burning out his players. All 4 years that he has been here we have limped to the finish.

2007 - lost 6 games in a row in February. Got blown out in 2nd round of Big 12 tourney
2008 - lost games to Colorado/Nebraska late. Got blown out in 2nd round of B12 trny.
2009 - After starting 25-1, lost to UT/KU/MU in Feb, then lost in 1st round of B12.
2010 - Lost 9 straight to end the year. Blown out in B12 tourney.

I think a big reason for that is that he does not use his bench and plays guys 35-40 minutes conistently. People like to blame all the injuries during these 4 years on bad luck. But I think wearing guys out has something to do with it.

Both Sampson and Tubbs played the starters for big minutes. I don't know if all three OU coaches over the last 30 years were bad at using their benches or if fans make too big a deal out of playing time.

I agree that Capel has had a tendency to have his teams fall apart late in the season. I don't think that is a fair criticism about last year.

This is the least of my worries with Capel. Far more important are:

1.) Player evaluation
2.) discipline
3.) DEFENSE
4.) Player development

With 1,2, and 3 being far more important than 4.

Agreed Booger. (At least with 2, 3, and 4). I just dont know though how you would not pursue Willie, Tommy, and Tiny out of high school. There are some duds there on the bench though and an alarming # of defections which lends weight to the player evaluation knock.
