ISU losing puts them a game behind us right now. Not that it matters right now really. We are technically alone in 2nd place with a tie breaker over Baylor if the season ended today. There's still a lot of season left of course.

Technically we would be 3rd behind KSU if the season ended today.

treebranch, I completely agree. It's the same as an over the back foul in my book. If you're in the bonus, you shoot the foul shots. Not sure how those refs talked themselves out of the free throws.

There is no such thing as an "over the back" foul.

As stated, team control is garnered on a throw-in. Not sure when college adopted it, but high-school put this into place last season. No free throws are awarded and if the throw-in was based on an alternating possession arrow, the arrow stays with the same team (unlike a violation where it would switch).

So was the call correct? It seems to me it was correct based on the discussion with the officials, the reaction of Hoiberg, the comments of the guys calling the game and the above discussion but I am not entirely sure.

Yes, it was. I was wrong. They were right. I still think it's stupid though.
