He went to school at West Texas A&M but has he been anywhere near college since?
 
and I carry it with me like my daddy did...
 
I have a friend who works for the thunder that suggested his name to me. I've heard he's the thunders best assistant.

probably be a good recruiter and would likely have a good staff. can he coach though? didn't do well at philly

He developed Russell Westbrook into one of the top point guards in the NBA and Eric Maynor is one of the best backup point guards in the league with a 5:1 assist/to ratio so yeah, I think he can coach a bit.

The jury is still out...he hasn't been successful as a head coach to this point, so I would pass on him.
 
He was successful early on at Portland. Had 1 bad year and they fired him. And then went to Philly which hasn't had any talent and he took them to the playoffs once. I'm not sure if I want him because of the lack of college experience. Don't know if he can recruit.
