Jacob Hammond

Does anyone know how Hammond is performing thus far over at Sunrise Christian? I am thrilled that he is over there working with that staff and program.

Maxpreps hasn't entered any stats for the Sunrise Christian team, and their home website it quite out of date (still lists Buddy Hield on the roster).

I get updates from his mother and he is in the rotation on a very good Sunrise team. She has said he likes it there.

Does that mean he can't start for them Will?

That team has a couple of good post players in Sebastion Soto a 6'9 Ole Miss commit and 6'7 Andre Sands a mid major, high motor foward. Hammond will work his way into competing for more minutes as the season goes.

I have seen Soto play and he has a nice touch and is very long and lanky using that to his advantage.. Since his commitment to Ole Miss he has worked feverishly to improve his footwork and adding some muscle to his wiry frame. It will be a learning process for Jacob Hammond which could be very beneficial to OU. This is a kid that has been homeschooled and I look forward to seeing him develop.
