Jahvon Quinerly?

I agree Ada...I don't think it's a 100% sure he goes pro. He'll be a high pick whenever he decides to go...and you are only in college once, and I thin khe is really enjoying it!

Not everyone bases every decision based on $$ alone.

This implies that the only reason for him to turn pro would be money. That would obviously be a huge part of it, but how about the possibility that he would like to start pursuing his lifelong goal of playing the sport he loves against the best players in the world? It's also easy for people to look back on college and glorify the fun parts while forgetting how annoying class and homework can be, especially if you are spending several hours a day playing or practicing a sport. As for the money, if anyone here has ever turned down tens of millions, more power to you!

This sooo hard.

Trae is having the time of life as a student athlete right now. That ends when he signs a NBA contract.

while I think he goes pro now I dont think that staying is totally out of the question. When they were doing the "Trae is your favorite player's favorite player" thing last night a couple of the pros reminded Trae that he should have fun now while it's still a thrill and everyone wants a piece of him. Later it becomes a job and that job is often a loveless grind.

My thoughts exactly, cvanglid. Trae is having the time of life as a student athlete right now. That ends when he signs a NBA contract.

Professional basketball is a dog eat dog business. I’ll bet Blake Griffin will agree with that assessment.

I'd love to be the eaten dog for $171 million.

Well, there have now been 4 CB's to Nova...with Jerry Meyer changing his from OU to Nova!!

MAYBE, just MAYBE that means Trae will actually come back! Maybe he has let the coaches know..and they have informed Quinerly of this.

Probably not the main driver for the all the sudden picks for Nova...but Meyer had to find out some kind of information to make him change his pick this quickly, right??

That’s not what I read into cvanglid’s post. I have said all along that money will be not be the driving force in Trae’s decision. Most here assume it will be, but I’m not one of them.

or maybe he sees what TY has to work with...I'm sorry, I love my OU bball..but man without TY we'd be under .500

TY will be a stud in the NBA, no double teams, no triple teams, he'll have 4 other pro's.

IT blows my mind that there are people with this little of basketball knowledge on this board! There are 2 maybe 3 other NBA players on this team. Trae is just a once in a generational type guy.

LOL..whatever. You an nba scout? you have no clue what my background is.

Since 1970 OU has had 11 guys play more than 3 years in the NBA.

Blake being 1 of them (8 so far), so 10. Only 2 in the league now, Blake and Buddy.

3, Mookie, Havery and Stacey from the 88 CHAMPIONSHIP game team, 1 Buddy from the FF team 2 years ago.

So tell me who are the other 2-3 nba guys on this team?

I will agree TY is a once in a generation player...honestly he could go #1 if he keeps up. His game will go very well in the nba.

LOL.

DUDE. You’re crazy. Nobody else on this team will play in the NBA.

TY coming back isnt Meyer info. You’re reaching big time.

Info is from quinerly insiders

It would be a shock if TY comes back this year! He would become an even better player but it will be nearly impossible to duplicate this season. He will get drafted high and make money. Time will tell if he will be ready to produce next year in the NBA. He will at some point.

Harmon is who LK wants on the team. We need a graduate transfer to run the point next year. It also will be interesting to see how hard he recruits one and done guys in the future.

No, you're crazy if you don't believe there are.

Outside of Trae Young, nobody on this team is close to as good as Willie Warren. WW couldn't make the NBA. He didn't have great size for his position, but nobody on this team does either.

Aren't you also the same person who said a few weeks ago that anybody that thinks this team has a bad defense "doesn't know basketball?"

Just because you're optimistic doesn't mean you're correct.

Yes I agree. I was hopeful that Shepherd could handle it next year, and he show signs he could early in the year. As the year has gone on I think it will really hurt OU if they don't find someone else to run the point next year.

Manek will play in the NBA. Guy has one of the sweetest shooting strokes I've ever seen, a very quick release, and is 6'8"+ and athletic.

McNeace has a slim shot, as he does have legitimate NBA athleticism. Not happening for anyone else though.

If Odomes has a big year next year, he could be given a shot
